2017 Loire – flowering in Saint Georges sur Cher, 41 Loir et Cher

In a clear contrast to yesterday's post here are some vines at Le Rablais, Saint Georges sur Cher that certainly are in the middle of flowering. I think these are Sauvignon Blanc, which does flower quite early. On a quick look – I was out training for our Parkinson's ride (12th-16th June) from Pauillac to the Minervois– it appeared that there was a decent volume of crop here and no sign of frost damage. But as I say it was a quick look.

For the moment the weather is favourable for a good and swift flowering but some rain is forecast at some time over the weekend.
